Dr. Chu is Assistant Professor at the University of International Relations in Beijing. He got a BA in Engineering from Jilin University in 1999, MA in Law from Sichuan University in 2002, and a  Ph.D. in Political Science from Renmin University of China in 2006. In 2004 he was an exchange Ph.D. researcher at VUB during three months.

He joined the Department of Public Management, University of International Relations in July 2006. His research topic at UNU-CRIS will be Central Asia in the Framework of SCO: Analysis of the Security and Regional Integration. He will be supervised by Dr. Xinning Song from August 2009 until July 2010.
